Zane ~ Hidden Beauty

1/25s, ISO 160, f.5.6, color to BW.  This is a hidden cemetery for the monks at St. Martin's Abbey property.  A clearing surrounded by trees and simple plantings and an old stone moss covered fence.

It's meant to be peaceful not Halloween scary.

Zane ~ Photo Phobia

1.10s, f/5.0, ISO 160, fill flash 0, Timed.
Yes - a self portrait in a dance.  This was difficult from self perspective, and then actually getting the right amount of movement and legs in the right place.

The neighbors must have thought I was nuts, them peeking through their window.

Fun!!

Zane - Teen Night!

Take Our Picture!!  These young people were so full of summer energy and fun.  Notice the two peeking in.  Add to the silliness - a gull right in the middle.

Zane - Off the Beaten Path

1/200s, f/5.0, ISO 160, fill flash -2, WB sunlight
Saturday evening was a good time to roam about the roads out in Littlerock; stopped and asked permission to photograph a farm.  The fellow had just finished mowing hay and gave me a big smile.  The image I wanted to show was bigness - him, the tractor and the smile.  The lighting conditions were tough with the blown out bright sky and shade under the trees.  He's holding two beers in his hidden left hand.  We laughed!

Zane - Independence Day

10:00 a.m. - Neighborhood Kiddie Parade
The south end neighborhood celebrates with a children's parade on Saturday morning at 10.  Catching the conversations and grouping of youngsters caught my eye; three reds, three boys, balloons, and the face of miss independence on the blue bike.
5:00 p.m. -  Tacoma's Finest

The police had a large presence at the Tacoma waterfront festival.   They were discussing control of the anxious traffic and parking situation in the tightly packed North end neighborhood.

10:00 p.m.  - Dark

Joined friends on a rooftop deck overlooking Commencement Bay.  The place was a bit wobbly even with a tripod.  We covered ourselves in blankets on lounge chairs, sipped wine and oooo-ed and aaaaah-ed.
