Friday's nights lights- Linda F

Lakefair ~ Deana

A shot into a beveled mirror at Lakefair. f12~ 1/125 ~ ISO 125 It was difficult looking for reflections at Lakefair, but stuck to it and found a couple I liked. This was my favorite, I liked the top and right side of the picture. I wanted to see action with the feet but couldn't keep the top of the mirror.

Zane - Teen Night!

Take Our Picture!!  These young people were so full of summer energy and fun.  Notice the two peeking in.  Add to the silliness - a gull right in the middle.

CHRIS - LONG SHOT - OFF THE BEATEN PATH

NOTHING LIKE BEING A DAY LATE, SO SORRY. I COULDN'T GET MY "PHOTO MOJO" UP AND OUT OF THE HOUSE THIS WEEKEND. SO TODAY I HAD TO GO OUT AND FOUND THAT "PATH" ON MY WAY HOME.

I took these with My litte Point & Shoot Canon A620.

Claire - Off the path

This is a (clearly) neglected corner of the garden. I could not get the glare off the willow leaves - just the wrong angle of the sun. F 5.6, 1/80, iso 250.

Off the Beaten Track - James Steberg

Some methods of getting "Off the Beaten Track" are less pleasant than others.

Bob - Off the Beaten Path

7.1   Iso 100   1/100

Andrea- "Off the Beaten Track"

My son was picking wildflowers out in a big field, and I was lucky enough to take advantage of the wonderful evening sunlight. This was a first attempt at trying to shoot into the sun, as I usually avoid doing that, but the light coming through the field when backlit was so beautiful I had to try. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
ISO 200, f/7.1, 1/100, 31 mm, circular polarizer

Drew Rickman - Pinhole

I played around with the pinhole photography before the weekend. I shot this at iso 100, 42 second exposure.

Drew Rickman - Off the Beaten Track

Took this shot at a park near my house. These steps are suppose to be used when you go under the road to get across to street to get to the park, but no one uses it and just crosses the road at ground level instead. I shot this at f/4.5, 1/25, iso 400, WB on daylight setting.

Shelley-Pinhole camera

I'm not happy with any of the many shots I have tried with my pinhole camera. I tried lots of things to get better focus. This works the best if you are thinking more like impressionist painting! Maybe!

Shelley-Off the beaten path

We were at a funeral Saturday in Ocean Shores. It was a foggy, misty day. After the service the pastor had the family symbolically let go with balloons.

I used the "best" camera I had so not much control over settings. I liked the white on white as it kind of reflects the mood of the event.

Dave - In the Flight Path

I let my doves out yesterday for some exercise and really liked the way the sun was hitting them. They had to be in just the right spot to get the translucent appearence. The second one is for Barbra, tying to capture some motion. 1/1000, F5.6, ISO 125. & 1/400, F8, ISO 125

Two abandoned railroad tracks. 1/250, F9, ISO 100

Greg - Off the Beaten Track

I was at the Seattle Chinatown International District Festival today. With so many people and so much activity I wasn't very hopeful I'd find something for the assignment, but when I saw this elderly couple walking down the alleyway it made me think of the class assignment. It was a tough choice between this and the photo I took of the chicken feet I ate at Dim Sum, but I thought this told a more appealing story.

Off the beaten path Linda Foss

Visiting the Lavendar Fields in Sequim. It was a sunny day.

Deana-A far try at one of the "greats" photos

It's that time of the year for yard work and every time I bring out the hose, the dogs want water. I would envision Jacquies-Henri Lartigue, Florette Monte Carlo Beach. Not nearly the exact recreation, but my mind kept going to the photo because of the water. Of the three dogs, Bella was the easiest to work with. 1/60~5.6~ISO 125

Deana - Off The Beaten Path

Off the beaten path, a motorcycle ride down Delphi Rd. Enjoyed not knowing what would strike me for a picture. Found myself watching mailboxes and found these two as the favorites.
Bike: 1/500~7.7~ISO 100
ZEP Can: 1/60~5.6~ISO125

Maureen - Off the Beaten Path

This was a tough assignment given that I was working in my yard most of Saturday and was too pooped to go out exploring on Sunday. But Saturday night I ventured about a quarter mile away and found some "off the track" pictures. In fact the sites are very close to a busy road in West Olympia. The pictures of the railroad tracks were too blown out to post. Both shots were taken with my Olympus E 500, at ISO 100; the sign shot at 1/500 sec f 5.6; and the water at 1/4 sec f8.

Off The Beaten Track
On a road I always passed but never traveled I came across these two cars on the side of the road. They seem to be there for a long time, Shutter Speed 1/20; F/4.5; ISO 400

Jessica Simon "Off the Beaten Path"

What a great weekend for this assignment because I went camping and was off the beaten path a lot and got some different shots, see my website for more of my camping trip.
Driving around somewhere near Packwood, off the beaten bath, I caught the interest of this cow and got one shot from the car before my curious puppy started barking. This valley was so beautiful the way the morning sun was shining.
