Jessica Little_My Independence Day

10 am - Family outing to get coffee and pastries.

This flower post bloom reminded me of fireworks.  My son is in the background and the sign although blurred is likely recognizable by most people in the NW.
f 6.3, 1/100 sec, ISO 500 (forgot to switch it from last outing), 61 mm

5 pm - Firecracker Pride

Reid was allowed to light his first firecrackers and man, did he feel like the big kid in the backyard.  For me, this image really captures that proud moment through the expression on his face, his posture, the lighter in hand and a slight haze of smoke still lingering in the background.
f 5.6, 1/100 sec, ISO 100, 64 mm

10 pm - Fireworks

Tried to get some foreground trees, etc in this shot to give some perspective.
f 11, 4 sec on tripod, ISO 100, 17 mm
Another fun assignment Barb!
