Zane - Splash
68 mm 1/150s, F/5.6, ISO 160, WB, Vivid, 7:00 evening with clear skies. This image of the Tivoli Fountain was taken at the beginning of the "golden hoür" providing a good opportunity to experiment with the aperture, shutter speed and polarizer. The fountain shots differed depending upon my position - back to the sun, sidelights, and face to the sun - all easy to explore because of easy access all around. I like the feeling of the blurry splash, long soft sidelit shadows in the background, the popcorn texture of the water surface, the clear stream lines in the foreground. The droplets in the foreground streams refracted the sunlight, catching sparkle and some colors. Happy Evening!
