Maureen X and Y
I changed the orientation and cropped in Elements, Shot at ISO 100; 1/250; f4.5; 150mm. The x and y are in the distance. I suppose the bird and her reflection
could also be a "Y" .

Deana ~ X and Y Friday Long Shot
Friday Long Shot~ still enjoying the assignments!! The "X" was easy to locate at the Westport Marina - looking for items on the boats that represented the letters. The "Y" not so easy to locate, so I chose the second anchor that reminded me (sorta) of a "Y" but I found myself saying "Y would anyone get on that boat". Thanks Barb for another fun class!!

Jessica Little - "X and Y"
"X and Y" - what? Is that supposed to represent man and woman, lat/long, X axis/Y axis on graph? I don't know but as I weeded my garden I started looking at the pumpkin plants and the little tendrils that attach to everything and anything. I noticed this new pumpkin in the making and saw what I never would've seen without this weeks long shot on the mind...
Shot at 85mm plus extension tubes on the tripod. ISO 100, f4.5, 1/100 sec, spot metering.

Two Fawns in my Back Yard
This doesn't really have anything to do with our class assignment, but I thought some of you might enjoy these. I looked out my back window and one of the fawns was nibbling on some grass at my back porch. By the time I got my camera, it had worked its way around to the side of my house. I was surprised to see after a few shots of the first fawn that there was a second one just out of my initial line of sight. Mom was no where in sight, and neither of the fawns seemed to get spooked by me. They were pretty small, probably two feet tall or less at the small of their backs.

Claire - Hidden Beauty
Chris - Panorama
I had a lot of fun at last weeks shoot at the Nisqually Wildlife Refuge Then coming back and playing with my work was a challenge, but lots of fun.
Chris - Hidden Beauty
I was out driving looking for my subject, made a few turns too many that got me lost and took me to the end of a dead end street where I discovered my "Hidden Beauty".
Zane ~ Hidden Beauty
1/25s, ISO 160, f.5.6, color to BW. This is a hidden cemetery for the monks at St. Martin's Abbey property. A clearing surrounded by trees and simple plantings and an old stone moss covered fence.
It's meant to be peaceful not Halloween scary.
